Create Reply Exceptions using the Don't Reply feature
AutoResponder is a powerful tool that allows users to automate their WhatsApp and other messenger conversations by setting up rules for specific keywords or phrases. However, there may be certain messages that you don't want to send an automatic reply to, even if they match one of your rules. This is where the Don't Reply feature comes in.
The Don't Reply feature can be found above the reply message field within a rule, and it allows you to prevent sending automated replies to specific messages. Using the received message field options, it can be used to specify keywords or phrases that should not trigger an automatic reply. When you're done, you can save the rule.
By default, the new rule is added below all other rules in the list. Of course, it doesn't help much there, since higher rules in the rule list are prioritized. Make sure to move the Don't Reply rule above the other rule (from which it should prevent a response) in the main list by dragging the arrows on the rule in the list.
As an example, you can set an automatic reply for all messages, but exclude certain specific messages. To do this, you would add a rule to reply to all messages with a reply of your choice, but use the Don't Reply feature and move it above the "all"-rule to exclude certain keywords or phrases. So, if a message contains those keywords or phrases, the automatic reply would not be sent, but all other messages would trigger the automatic reply.
The Don't Reply feature can be used in combination with various other features to create a tailored experience. For example, you can use it with the priority notifications option, which allows you to receive separate notifications for specific messages without sending an automatic reply. This can be particularly useful when a user wants to speak to a human for example. Another way to use the Don't Reply feature is by utilizing the Pause rule for... option. This allows you to ignore the first message within a certain period of time, but send an automatic reply when receiving a second message. This can be a great way to filter out unwanted messages or spam. Additionally, you can use the Don't Reply feature in conjunction with submenus to silently activate a submenu without sending an automatic reply first. However, many other features work as well. Just try.
Overall, the Don't Reply feature is a versatile tool that can be used in a variety of ways to create a personalized messaging experience that suits your needs.
